one of the best parts of the five star retreat experience is enjoying a wonderful served meal in our elegant vaulted main hall.
catering for five star retreat is provided by purdie's catering and events, papa kayjoe's bbq, and by cowgirls cantina. you may also use other caterers or bartenders, if you prefer, with no additional fees.
five star retreat also has a fully-equipped kitchen in the lodge, as well as full kitchens in most of the cabins, if you'd like to prepare your own meals during your stay. and, since we want all of our guests to enjoy the outdoor settings here at the retreat, multiple outdoor grills are also provided.

purdie's catering and events
hickman county locals, jen and craig purdie have catered many weddings and other events at the retreat. from specialities like shrimp and grits and wonderfully seasoned ribeyes to finger foods, purdie's cuisine selection will not disappoint! the purdies also own colton's restaurant in dickson, which we highly recommend!
papa kayjoe's bbq
a long-time hickman county favorite, with a restaurant in centerville, papa kayjoe's specializes in pulled pork and other bbq, burgers, chicken, and more. the five star retreat staff can frequently be found eating at the centerville restaurant or picking up some pulled pork to-go!
cowgirls cantina
locally owned by the jana phillips, a licensed and insured bartender, cowgirls cantina will bring their creatively designed horse trailer-turned-mobile bar to your event at the retreat. the cantina can serve beer, wine, coctails, and mocktails and will design and build a package specifically for your event. also, talk to them about your decor. they love to decorate to match your event!
your food, your way
our caterers will be happy to do tastings prior to your event, as well as make suggestions for cuisine based on your preferences and budget. you're welcome to cater all meals during your stay, some of your meals, or bring your own food and utilize the kitchens as you see fit.
