incoming freshman students
welcome to the herd! we are excited to see you start your journey here at lipscomb. all incoming students are required to live on campus and sign up for a dining plan unless they're living with their parents or their spouse in the area.
living on campus is a requirement for incoming freshman, sophomores and juniors to make your time at lipscomb an engaging experience. students are not required to live on campus if they are living with their parents or their spouse in the nashville area.
incoming students are assigned living space in elam hall and fanning hall (female) or high rise (male).
through the bison portal, new students can apply to live on campus. you must choose on-campus accommodation, pay the $200 non-refundable housing processing fee and complete the housing application.
you will receive your housing assignment by june 1. - if you did not include the l# of your preferred roommate, you have until may 1, 2024 to enter this information. after may 1, students who did not enter an l# for a preferred roommate will be assigned with another new bison who does not have a roommate preference.
if you are a part of the honors college program and sign up to live on the honors hall in elam hall or high rise, your preferred roommate must be a part of the honors college program as well.

every semester, all residential students must choose a meal plan.
students beginning their first full year of college (aside from transfers) will be offered the bison ultimate meal plan; however, you can switch to the bison herd upon request.

your username is the letters/number before the @ sign of your lipscomb email address. your password is what you use to sign into your mylipscomb.
information on your assignment, roommate and move-in plans will be sent by email. you will receive instructions on choosing a roommate within your allotted accommodation when you have paid your enrollment fee and housing cost.
every semester, meal plans are required for all residential students.
the bison herd meal plan will be automatically assigned to returning students. after the first week of classes, students cannot modify their meal plan.
we are thrilled to have you join the herd! incoming transfer students have the option to live on campus or off campus. all residential students are required to have a meal plan.
incoming transfer students may live on campus; however, they also have the option to live off campus.

commuters have the option to add a meal plan to their account.
to add a meal plan to your account as a commuter student, fill out the meal plan request form.
meal plans must be added each semester.
lipscomb bucks roll over to the following semester. dining dollars only roll over from fall to spring semester if the student has an active meal plan in the spring.
all dining dollars expire at the end of the spring semester.

in either traditional dormitory-style or apartment-style housing, you will find a safe community in which to grow and learn. both women's and men's dorms have free access to laundry facilities, computer labs, kitchens and standard furniture for each room.
