ireland summer 2024 - hunter & lauren's story

august 26, 2024

ireland 2024

during our mission trip to coleraine, northern ireland, we were welcomed by a
church community whose warmth and generosity made us feel instantly at home. their
hospitality set the tone for our time there, allowing us to connect deeply with the people
we met, and not only form friendships beyond the trip, but see how the lord used them
in the lives of the children. while we came with the goal of making a difference in the
lives of the children and aiding the church community, it became clear by the end of the
trip that they had profoundly impacted us, teaching us lessons in joy, resilience, and
faith. it was an honor to see how the community there cares for the children at camp
shamrock and the joy the children exude during hbs. this journey not only
strengthened our personal faith but also reinforced the values instilled in us by
lipscomb, reminding us of the importance of service, community, and spiritual growth.
