membership details

thspa membership information: $25 per medium (through aug. 31)

membership is per medium, not per school. the membership fee will increase to $45 per medium after aug. 31, so be sure to postmark by that date. join by aug. 31 and bring at least five delegates to the fall workshop, and you recoup your membership fee!

$95 annual jea teacher/adviser membership 

if you join the journalism education association through the tennessee high school press association, jea will allow thspa to retain $5 to help our state association. if you are already a jea member, you may renew through thspa. two memberships, one payment! 

$40 medium evaluation

thspa is offering evaluations for newspapers, yearbooks, literary magazines, broadcast stations, websites and online publications. a critique booklet will be filled out by a judge and returned to you. if you want your publication evaluated, add $40 to your membership check. yearbooks and literary magazines from last year can be sent anytime. you must be a member of thspa to have an evaluation. 

payment may be made by check (payable to thspa), cash or purchase order. if postmarked by aug. 31, the membership fee is $25; if postmarked later than aug. 31, the fee is $45.

evaluations

give your medium a boost by requesting a thorough evaluation by a veteran adviser or professional. check the box on your thspa membership form to indicate your desire for a critique. the cost is $40. a certificate reflecting your rating will be given at awards day on the first monday in march.
