awards day honors top student-media work from 2023

congratulations to all of the finalists of thspa's 2024 student media awards! the list of students and staffs - and links to their stories, videos, newscasts, photos, etc. - may be found on our contests page. several of you at our recent awards day mentioned you enjoyed viewing some of the commercials, psas and other media; now all of you can see them and share them with your students.

we had more than 725 entries this year in our 56 categories. the overall winning staffs were:

  • best overall newspaper/newsmagazinewest side story, morristown-hamblen high school west
  • best overall yearbooklion's roar, christ presbyterian academy 
  • best overall literary magazinehallmarks, harpeth hall
  • mark madison best television station: cpa media studio, christ presbyterian academy
  • best overall websitethe tatler, st. mary’s episcopal school

 

our "superlative" awards were:

administrator of the year: dr. katie hill, page high school

h.l. hall outstanding student journalist

first place: margot ross, university school of nashville

second place: amelia alexopoulos, harpeth hall

third place: julia amick, collierville high school
