residency and fellowship programs
we offer multiple exclusive residency program opportunities to our graduates.
these residency opportunities exist to train pharmacists in professional practice and provide experience in integrating pharmacy services with the comprehensive needs of individual practice settings. residencies provide in depth experiences leading to advanced practice skills and knowledge. the residency programs we offer also encompass a teaching and learning certificate program to facilitate the career development of the next group of pharmacy educators. these residencies include:

college of pharmacy have formed a collaboration to offer three positions for post-graduate year one (pgy-1) pharmacy residencies. this unique residency merges inpatient and outpatient care with academia. the majority of the resident’s four-week clinical rotations will occur at mrmc, a 255-bed regional medical center located in columbia, tn. the resident will become an expert in managing a variety of disease states and caring for a wide range of populations from premature infants to geriatric patients.
application process:
- submit online with phorcas. applications must be submitted electronically via the phorcas website. please read the instructions carefully to be sure the application is submitted properly. the deadline for submitting applications is january 4 each year.

our program is designed to give pharmacy residents and preceptors an educational program that allows them to develop skills that will help them succeed in a teaching setting. our participants are able to take the knowledge gained from this certification and apply it in pharmacy practice or academic setting.

the critical illness, brain dysfunction, and survivorship (cibs) center at vanderbilt university medical center, in partnership with 世界杯2022预选赛录像回放
college of pharmacy, provides fellowship training for pharmacy graduates who seek to further develop a career in research and teaching. the goal of the vanderbilt cibs-lipscomb critical care fellowship is to increase the number of highly skilled research pharmacists who will improve the lives of patients affected by critical illness. the cibs center’s team members work with patients who are, or have been, critically ill and who have suffered from delirium and are at risk for long-term cognitive, functional and neuropsychological impairments. fellows receive mentorship and training from an interprofessional group of physicians, nurses, psychologists, biostatisticians, epidemiologists, pharmacists, and physical and occupational therapists.
