世界杯2022预选赛录像回放 ’s department of fashion & design is presenting its annual fashion week industry panel discussion with some of the “behind the seams” makers of global superstar dolly parton’s iconic outfits featured in her new book, behind the seams: my life in rhinestones.
the panel discussion, 5:30-6:30 p.m., in stowe hall (room 108), in the swang business center on campus, is free and open to the public.
this year’s featured fashion industry experts are:
dolly parton’s wardrobe team:
- hillary adcock, costumer, designer and seamstress;
- iisha lemming, lipscomb visiting faculty member and parton’s former head pattern maker and seamstress;
- riley reed, designer and wardrobe archivist; and
- steve summers, creative director;
behind the seams: my life in rhinestones book team:
- taylor bloss, artist manager;
- kelly ridgway, vice president of global marketing, ctk enterprises;
- rebecca seaver, parton’s lead archivist and curator of the book; and
- john zarling, co-founder/partner, 615 leverage + strategy.
lemming and seaver collaborated with the makers of parton’s wardrobe to curate the collection featured in lipscomb’s fashion exhibition.
the event is in conjunction with the upcoming fashion exhibition, dolly parton and the makers: my life in rhinestones, that is taking place oct. 31-dec. 9, in the john c. hutcheson gallery in the university’s beaman library.
the exhibit is a one-of-a-kind, limited time fashion exhibition that features 25 of parton’s fashions from throughout her storied career and will highlight the makers behind the looks, the songs, the stories, and the true magic that happens behind the seams. this fashion exhibition will be the first physical interpretation of parton’s new fashion-focused book, behind the seams: my life in rhinestones released last week.
tickets for the fashion exhibition are $25 per person for a 45-minute tour. the tickets are limited and are for timed entry. all tickets must be purchased online in advance. the exhibit hours are tuesday-saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. parking is available for guests adjacent to the library in the lot located at one university park drive, nashville. find ticket information and more details here.
