the 世界杯2022预选赛录像回放 college of business has partnered with b24 to host bitcoin experts and thought leaders for a series of free evening lectures throughout the spring semester. the bitcoin lecture series will cover various topics ranging from economics and finance to philosophy and policy.
bitcoin is the original innovation in the world of “blockchain” and is a cryptocurrency created in 2009. it is a virtual currency designed to act as money and a form of payment outside the control of any one person, group, or entity, thus removing the need for third-party involvement in financial transactions. it is rewarded to blockchain miners for verifying transactions and can be purchased on several exchanges.
the bitcoin lecture series includes five presentations beginning jan. 25 and concluding april 11. the series schedule and featured speakers include:
jan. 25: "bitcoin 101" featuring d++
d++, who has a background in computer engineering, is an educator, specifically in coding, and also an entrepreneur with a strong focus on bitcoin. she is notably recognized for her pioneering work with plebnet, a community initiative aimed at advancing the adoption of bitcoin's lightning network globally. d++ focuses on educating and supporting individuals and organizations in adopting and utilizing this technology to enhance bitcoin's scalability and usability.
feb. 8: "bitcoin policy and the future of regulation" featuring grant mccarty
grant mccarty is a co-founder of the bitcoin policy institute, an organization focused on researching and advocating for bitcoin-centric policies. the bitcoin policy institute aims to inform and influence public policy by providing research, analysis and recommendations on how bitcoin and related technologies can be integrated into and benefit various policy areas. mccarty's role at the institute involves contributing to the understanding and development of policies that support the growth and integration of bitcoin in the broader economic and social landscape.
feb. 15: "thank god for bitcoin" featuring jimmy song
jimmy song is a well known and respected bitcoin developer, educator, and entrepreneur. he has made significant contributions to bitcoin's development and is highly regarded for his educational endeavors in the field. he is also an author, with one of his notable works being the book "thank god for bitcoin: the creation, corruption and redemption of money." in this book, song delves into the moral and ethical considerations surrounding money.
march 7: btc inc ceo david bailey
david bailey is an early bitcoin adopter, entrepreneur, and a prominent figure in the bitcoin community. he is the ceo of btc media, which includes bitcoin magazine and the bitcoin conference, as well as utxo.
april 11: "bitcoin for a better america" featuring demario davis
demario davis is a linebacker for the new orleans saints. he has made a name for himself not only through his skills and leadership on the field but also for his contributions off the field, including his involvement in various community and charitable activities. his commitment to both his sport and his community has earned him respect and admiration from fans and peers alike. davis is an advocate for bitcoin for its ability to help solve inequalities in society.
