campbell named interim dean of college of pharmacy

dr. tom campbell has been named interim dean of the college of pharmacy. campbell, who has served as associate dean for academic affairs and associate professor of pharmacy practice, succeeds dr. roger l. davis, founding dean of the college who was promoted to vice provost for health affairs.
“dr. campbell has deep roots in the lipscomb community, had strong management responsibilities with a major international pharmaceutical company and was a stellar student while in pharmacy school at the university of tennessee,” said davis. “he has more than 30-year multi-phased career in various aspects of the pharmacy profession including patient care and pharmaceutical industry. he was an extremely well-respected and competent practitioner turned academician, which makes him uniquely prepared for this role and he brings with him a vast understanding of how to prepare our students to be successful in the workplace.”
campbell has been part of the college’s administrative team since its founding in 2007 and has played a significant role in building the program with davis.
“dr. campbell's appointment as interim dean recognizes the magnitude of experience he possesses in organizational leadership, accreditation processes and passion and vision for the profession of pharmacy,” said davis. “the fact that he has walked almost every step of the process of establishing lipscomb's college of pharmacy uniquely qualifies him to assume this leadership role. dr. campbell's reputation as an experienced academic leader on the national level is unsurpassed. his commitment to students and their academic, social and spiritual development will provide an inspirational platform for the future development of lipscomb's college of pharmacy.”
campbell said he looks forward to continuing to grow lipscomb’s pharmacy program in this new role.

“i am excited about the opportunity to serve this college and university in the role as interim dean. i have been blessed to be a part of vice provost davis’ leadership team and understand fully the high expectations associated with this role,” campbell said. “under the leadership of vice provost davis and an incredible faculty, staff and student body, this college has an impressive reputation.”

campbell received his doctor of pharmacy (pharm.d.) degree from the university of tennessee college of pharmacy and received board certification in pharmacotherapy. his prior work experience includes a pharmacy practice residency with emphasis on geriatric medicine with va medical center in memphis, clinical pharmacy and research coordinator at columbus regional health system in columbus, georgia, and senior director for cardiovascular medical affairs at sanofi pharmaceuticals. campbell also served as clinical assistant professor at auburn university. he has served as president of the tennessee pharmacists association and served on the board of directors. he is a member of aacp, apha, ashp, tpa, and accp.
世界杯2022预选赛录像回放 ’s college of pharmacy & health sciences is the home of middle tennessee’s first college of pharmacy. the college offers undergraduate programs in nursing, kinesiology and nutrition; graduate programs in exercise and nutrition science and health care informatics; and a doctorate of pharmacy degree. this fall, the college launched its new school of physician assistant studies that offers a master of science in physician assistant studies and an rn-to-bsn program in its school of nursing.
