faculty senate academic advisory committee

the academic advisory committee addresses recommendations that serve to enhance the academic program of the university. these  include, but are not limited to, considerations involving academics and any on-going activity of the university as a whole. the academic advisory committee considers improvements in the general education program of the university. no department chair is eligible to serve on the academic advisory committee.

faculty senate faculty welfare committee

the faculty welfare committee addresses problems and recommendations that pertain to the general welfare of the entire faculty. these concerns include, but are not limited to, considerations involving faculty time, pay, social activities, retirement, academic freedom, and morale. the faculty welfare committee serves as a review board for appeals or grievances in the area of faculty welfare.

faculty senate rtp committee

the rank, tenure, and promotion committee is responsible for reviewing faculty applications for tenure and promotion to determine a faculty member’s compliance with policies set forth by the university; for promotion and reviewing the rules and regulations set forth by the university for rank, tenure and promotion; and for serving as a review board for appeals or grievances in the areas of rank, tenure, and promotion.

faculty senate student life committtee

the student life committee addresses problems and recommendations concerning areas where student activities interact with the academic program of the university. they include, but are not limited to, student admission policies, dormitory life, library usage, social clubs, student behavior, extracurricular activities, scholarships, and counseling.
