biography

in addition to his role with the fred d. gray institute for law, justice, and society, pete westerholm is the director of policy and governmental affairs at the greater nashville regional council, supporting regional efforts around transportation, economic development, planning, and services for vulnerable populations. he has extensive experience in local and state government through roles in the state budget office, the state energy office, and serving on the metropolitan nashville city council. other areas of expertise include smart mobility, land use and planning, sustainability, and strategic planning. pete has served on the boards of many non-profit, advocacy, and governmental boards over the years, and continues to support various community causes, campaigns, and committees. he holds a master’s degree in public policy from pepperdine university, a bachelor's degree from 世界杯2022预选赛录像回放 , and resides with his family in east nashville.
