robert tunney received his doctor of pharmacy degree from duquesne university mylan school of pharmacy (pittsburgh, pa) in 2013. since graduation, dr. tunney has completed a pgy-1 pharmacy practice residency at the university of pittsburgh medical center (upmc) and a pgy-2 cardiology specialty residency at vanderbilt university medical center. dr. tunney holds dual pharmacy specialty board certifications in both pharmacotherapy and cardiology, in addition to being a certified anticoagulation care provider (cacp). prior to his arrival at lipscomb, dr. tunney worked with an interdisciplinary medical team of cardiologists at vanderbilt university medical center as a mechanical cardiac support clinical pharmacist and served as the pgy-2 cardiology residency program director. dr. tunney's research interests include anticoagulation strategies in mechanical cardiac support, right-sided heart failure, pulmonary hypertension, and hemodynamics.
