hunter stanfield

biography
hunter was born and raised in florence, alabama. before arriving at lipscomb in august 2019, he spent formative years in los angeles, california; tuscaloosa, alabama; birmingham, alabama; manhattan, kansas; and tuxedo, north carolina. at lipscomb, hunter teaches in the marriage and family therapy graduate program and volunteers with the life program. he is also currently a fellow in relational ethics with the doherty foundation for social and civic well-being. outside of his role at lipscomb, hunter is an active mental health professional providing therapy to individuals and couples in the nashville area. he also enjoys spending time with his family, taking in live concerts, being outside and active in a wide variety of outdoor activities, and sitting on the front porch reading a good book.
