biography

emily smith is currently the assistant provost for online learning. as the strategic leader for academics, she is focused on delivering a personalized, high quality student experience; enhancing the faculty experience in order to support deep engagement and drive exceptional outcomes; and developing new, market-attuned curricula.

emily was previously the senior national dean of program development for devry university, where she coordinated the development of new academic programs. prior to that, she had tenures as the dean of academic affairs and campus president for devry’s dallas campus. she has broad experience in designing and implementing innovative instructional modalities and overseeing academic operations.
