dr. dave morgan has over two decades of professional experience in higher education. since 2013 he has served as a core faculty member in the marriage and family therapy graduate program at 世界杯2022预选赛录像回放 where his primary responsibilities are teaching and clinical supervision. prior to this role, dr. morgan spent a dozen years in the 世界杯2022预选赛录像回放 counseling center where, in addition to his work as a therapist, he served as the director of testing services, overseeing robust assessment programs across the institution. he is the recipient of both the outstanding teacher award and the outstanding academic advising award.
dr. morgan earned his doctorate in leadership, policy, and organizational development at vanderbilt university where he applied his background in systemic therapy to his interests in human and organizational development, including the application of personality type theory to a variety of developmental issues. he is a licensed marital and family therapist and a clinical fellow and approved supervisor with the american association for marriage and family therapy. in addition, he holds the highest level myers-briggs type indicator professional designation of master practitioner.
alongside his work at the university, dr. morgan maintains a small private practice, and also serves as a clinical supervisor for lipscomb graduates seeking licensure. he is active in state-level professional advocacy, having served as president of the tennessee association for marriage and family therapy. in addition, dr. morgan has a particular interest in the intersection of mental health and church life, and presents on those issues in both professional and church contexts. he and his wife, anna, are very involved with their local congregation where he serves as a shepherd.
