biography
jill kirby grew up in knoxville, tn where she developed a passion for helping others. that led her to harding university for undergraduate work (b.s exercise science) and then to belmont university for physical therapy school (dpt, 2005). she married chris (lipscomb grad, 2000) and together they have lived in alabama, indiana, and are now proud to call tennessee home. together they have three kids and love to travel and spend time outside. jill spent the first 11 years of her career as a physical therapist working most of that time at riley hospital for children in indianapolis. shortly after moving to nashville, she began teaching anatomy and physiology in the biology department and has loved the opportunity to shape future health care professionals early in their educational journey.

jill's experience as a clinician shapes her ability to teach about the human body in a practical way. she has worked in a variety of healthcare settings including home health, a school setting, an outpatient orthopedic clinic, and for a large children's hospital where she was part of a healthcare team working closely with nurses and physicians.
