biography
dr. sarah graff graduated with a bs in biology from the university of kentucky before attending vanderbilt university where she obtained her phd in molecular physiology and biophysics. her phd research focused on potassium channels in pancreatic islet cells and their contribution to the pathogenesis of neonatal diabetes, mature-onset diabetes of the young, and type-2 diabetes mellitus. her current research interests center on changes in pancreatic ion channel expression during exercise and how that, in turn, regulates glucose homeostasis. dr. graff enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter as well as gardening and doing yoga.
