biography
jacqueline "jackie" gibbons earned a b.a. and her m.a.e. (with an emphasis on english studies) from western kentucky university. she took additional english courses at morehead state university and pursued her doctoral degree in educational leadership at western kentucky university. she is currently a.b.d. ms. gibbons also earned an a.a.s. at elizabethtown community and technical college. her current areas of interest include poverty as it relates to literacy, the social and cultural implications of artificial intelligence (specifically as it relates to research and writing), and best practices in education. ms. gibbons has taught english composition, introduction to literature, introduction to leadership, introduction to education, and first-year experience courses since 2014 at western kentucky university and southcentral community and technical college. she also taught english composition courses and introduction to literature at volunteer state community college. ms. gibbons has served as a club advisor and curriculum committee chairperson. she has helped develop online master and o.e.r. courses for english and literature and online and in-person training programs for students, faculty, and community agencies. she has also served on various committees and continues serving her community by volunteering.
