abstract

the ubiquitous personal computer, nowadays complete with full color monitors, interactive cd-rom drives, and lightning-fast internal modems, has revolutionized nearly every facet of our lives, including the way we teach and learn. yet hidden beneath all the high-tech wizardry, the computer offers us a simple model that can enhance our learning and teaching, a background paradigm that is usually taken for granted, no doubt because it is overshadowed by the alluring sparkle and shine of the foreground technology.
