the bfa in film production requires 67 credit hours in the major. the bfa is for students who which to take a deep dive into filmmaking in one or two particular areas such as writing, cinematography, post production & effects etc.. with careful planning, students can also earn a minor in another area. this is a program the requires a lot of time commitment and a high level of work. for a broader education in film production a student may wish to do the ba in film production which allows more flexibility in building skills across disciplines.
