in this course, you will review current ideas about computer science education through the exploration of recent research in computer science learning, instructional innovation and iste standards. you will also explore key challenges and opportunities associated with educating p-12 students, with an emphasis on methods used in computer science classes. this course focuses on the practical application of pedagogical strategies and content methods that draw from current research and theories on motivation, early child and adolescent development, instructional technology, cooperative learning and engagement in disciplinary practices in computer science.
