this course will study the basic concepts of financial accounting and an overview of how accounting contributes to an organization and its stakeholders. coursework covers the development of financial statements and the use of financial information for decision-making and effective financial management. it will introduce the fundamentals of financial accounting necessary to enhance organizational performance. emphasis will be placed on strengthening the student’s ability to interpret and apply financial information as opposed to an in-depth study and application of accounting theory and practice.
