mu 4412 - diction for singers i: latin and italian (2) f offered even-numbered years

diction for singers will train students in using the international phonetic alphabet (ipa) and in pronouncing latin and italian for the purposes of singing art songs and choral compositions. the class will include information on how to pronounce each language as well as practical experience with beginning level vocal solo literature and secondary level choral pieces.

prerequisite: two semesters of private voice at the college level.
