this course introduces the concepts and practices of digital humanities as approaches that promote new kinds of reading and interpretation. students will become familiar with digital exhibits, digital mapping, text analysis, information visualization, and network analysis as tools to strengthen and expand their creative and critical capacity. a weekly collaborative lab will allow students to acquire skills in various digital platforms; no prior experience in information technology is necessary.
