eece 3624 - microprocessors: principles and applications (4) f the theory and application of microprocessors, including architecture, hardware considerations and programming methods in both assembly- and higher-level languages. theory and practice of analog-to-digital conversion, synchronous and asynchronous communications, timing, and real-time interrupts. in the laboratory students design, build and test electronic systems involving state-of-the-art microprocessors, sensors and output devices.
prerequisite: eece 2423 principles of computer system design with a grade of “c” or higher, en 3143 lecture, 3 hours; laboratory, 3 hours satisfies eece 4254 microprocessors
