ed 3363 - teaching with text (3) sp this course is an in-depth look into how to engage students in reading and responding to text. candidates will explore different text genres and formats including fiction, non-fiction, digital, informational, and non-print to support inquiry and learning across the curriculum. the course will prepare candidates to engage students in close reading of text to analyze craft, structure, & rhetoric for the purpose of deeper comprehension. the course will examine text response through meaningful discussion, collaboration, and writing in a variety of formats for different audiences. candidates will learn to develop and support students to become lifelong readers through choice, environment, and exposure to diverse texts.
prerequisite: admission to the program.
