phie 2521 - introductory pharmacy practice experiences iv (1)

the spring semester ippe-iv course requires student pharmacists to complete 3 separate pharmacy practice experiences (5 weeks per experience) at assigned practice sites. assigned practice sites include community pharmacies, institutional health system pharmacies, and/or specialty pharmacies. one of the 5-week practice experiences will involve simulated patient care experiences led by college of pharmacy faculty. student pharmacists will build upon the knowledge and experience from ippe i-iii, with additional emphasis on: understanding administrative and clinical roles of pharmacists; enhanced competency in implementing a patient plan of care; introduction to monitoring and evaluating a patient plan of care; and enhanced interprofessional collaboration with other health care disciplines. student pharmacists will receive credit for 60 ippe contact hours. fee - $20.
