phie 1511 - introductory pharmacy practice experiences i (1)

the spring semester ippe-ii course requires student pharmacists to complete 3 separate pharmacy practice experiences (5 weeks per experience) at assigned practice sites. assigned practice sites include community pharmacies, institutional health system pharmacies, and/or specialty pharmacies. one of the 5-week practice experiences will involve simulated patient care experiences led by college of pharmacy faculty. student pharmacists will build upon the knowledge and experience from ippe-i, with additional emphasis on: communication skills; pharmaceutical calculations; collection and assessment of patient and health care information; and introduction to developing a patient plan of care. student pharmacists will receive credit for 60 ippe contact hours.
