the coffee club aims to connect current students to college of business alumni for purposeful conversations on a personal and professional level. students who engage in this program will meet with an alumni of the college of business for approximately 1 hour for coffee.
how it works:
- review the names and biographies of the current college of business alumni board.
- find an alumnus who might have a similar professional goal, interest, or experience with whom you’d like to connect.
- complete the cob coffee club application.
- you should hear from the alumnus within 72 hours to schedule coffee.

matt brown graduated from lipscomb with an undergraduate degree in accounting and masters of accountancy in 2015. matt spent 9 years in public accounting in the audit & assurance practice at deloitte & touche. matt lives in brentwood with his wife, lauren (lipscomb nursing alum!) and son, parker.

carrie brings over 5 years of experience working with state governments to provide innovative enterprise-wide initiatives, mainly focused on modernizing technology in the shared services realm. she is currently the deputy of operations for deloitte’s contract with the state of tennessee, division of tenncare, ltss – pre-admission evaluation & referrals for long-term services and support (perlss). carrie supports the stabilization of perlss as the project shifts into the o&m phase of the system.

grant exline is the global category manager for marketing procurement at jones lang lasalle (jll), a commercial real estate organization. grant graduated from the undergraduate business program in 2018, the mba fast track program in 2019, and became a member of the alumni board in 2022. in addition to his role at jll, grant runs a local non-profit, is an avid fan of the nashville soccer club, and enjoys fitness. grant and his wife currently reside in the east nashville area.

graham kiser is a senior business intelligence and insights analyst at jackson, a financial services firm, with a focus on executive reporting, dashboard creation, and data flow creation. he graduated from the mba program in 2021 and joined the alumni board in 2022. he currently resides in franklin and enjoys serving at church, connecting with students, and reading.

kyle kraemer is an audit director at pwc. kyle has spent 11 years in public accounting pwc assisting public and large private companies primarily in the healthcare space with their financial statements and financial controls. kyle also is involved with his church youth group and junior achievement using his passion for coaching and giving back. kyle has run 11 marathons and enjoys traveling with his wife and daughter collins.

ryan myers is a partner and the head of the assurance practice of the nashville office of aprio, a top 30 cpa led advisory firm. he graduated from lipscomb in 2005 with his undergraduate degree in accounting he lives in franklin with his lipscomb alum wife and two wonderful children. when he isn’t working or spending time with family and friends he is cheering on the lsu tigers or titans or finding time to get in a round of golf.

alex is a 2019 graduate from the lipscomb mba program and is currently serving as a director of private equity at omnia partners in franklin. before transitioning to a civilian career, he served 13 years as an intelligence officer in the u.s. air force and air national guard. alex is deeply passionate about supporting veterans through their military transition into civilian life, leadership concepts, mentorship, and business strategy. alex spends his free time at the gym, working on cars, and enjoying life with his wife, allison, and their daughter, scarlett.

reed is a local nashvillian, realtor, and real estate investor here in nashville. during college, reed worked as an independent contractor running a business selling educational book door to door with the southwestern company. he says that his time there helped him create the habits and skills that made him successful in the sales world. today when he isn't negotiating million-dollar deals or at an event he is usually hanging out with friends or spending time with his 2 dogs on the back porch putting something on the smoker.
