international admissions: common questions

the earlier you apply and are admitted to 世界杯2022预选赛录像回放 your final year in high school—and have finished all your next steps with lipscomb—the earlier you can make your visa appointment at the u.s. embassy within your country. you must first be admitted to 世界杯2022预选赛录像回放 before you can begin the process to obtain your i-20 documents to apply for a student visa.

yes, all lipscomb f1 visa students are allowed to work, but only on campus. the maximum hours allowed to work during the semester (when school is in session) is 20 hours per week. whenever a student is on thanksgiving, christmas, spring or summer breaks, and not taking any classes, they are allowed to work up to 40 hours a week. international students are not allowed to work off campus due to federal regulations. any violation of these rules will result in termination of the student’s 1-20. 

incoming international students who are first-time freshmen or transfers may be considered for an international student scholarship. please contact the admissions [at] lipscomb.edu (office of admissions) to learn more.

as soon as you are admitted as a student, have paid your enrollment and housing fees, and have made your first semester payments for 世界杯2022预选赛录像回放 , you will get to choose which new student orientation you want to come to. you will also be made eligible to meet with your academic advisor virtually and they will instruct you on how to register for classes and what classes to sign up for. the earlier you submit your enrollment fee, the earlier you will be able to meet with your advisor!

whenever you come to lipscomb and register for your classes, you can either buy books new, used or even rent the books.

lipscomb partners with a service called slingshot that you are automatically enrolled in when you begin your program—for no extra charge! they get your course information directly from the school and deliver your books to campus, charging your student account for the cost of the textbooks. for more information about slingshot, see the website for our campus store.
