our three core principles- sustainability, philanthropy, and collaboration- inform and direct planned activities both in and outside of the classroom. with a holistic approach to the design process and an interdisciplinary approach to the study of the business of fashion, we are dedicated to challenging students academically, spiritually, and as global community citizens.

why earn my fashion design degree at lipscomb?

the fashion design curriculum is well-rounded and diverse. we guide students through the process of identifying and developing a design aesthetic while acknowledging the importance of a strong business acumen. with an emphasis on construction techniques, textiles, and product development the curriculum introduces the fundamentals of building a business plan that covers sourcing and production, marketing, distribution and sales. you'll also have access to our historic archive including halston, a world-renowned designer. our collection includes historic garments from every decade since 1890 — including designer clothes.
