research fellowship
students selected for a ward fellowship receive a summer research stipend and are matched into a research program at an off-site or onsite location. the ward society also covers summer housing for students in the ucrip program at vanderbilt university.

2024 hero of science
dr. linda roberson, a former chair of lipscomb's biology department, was honored as the 2024 hero of science at the annual ward society dinner. roberson has significantly influenced thousands of students since 1975 and has been an integral part of the lipscomb community for over 45 years.
