faith-focused, future-focused. that’s been the lipscomb story since it was founded in 1891 by david lipscomb and james a. harding. these friends shared a vision to provide young men and women with opportunities to increase their knowledge and prepare for a career while integrating faith and the study of scripture. this founding vision sustains the university’s work today.

an ncaa division i athletic program, lipscomb in 17 sports as a member of the asun conference. true student athletes, the bisons have won the asun conference academic trophy six times in the last eight years.
