about the lanier center

the lanier center for archeology (lca) brings nearly 20 years of globally recognized archeological research and scholars to the nashville campus.

along with the department of archaeology, the lanier center for archaeology was established in 2020 by the board of trustees of 世界杯2022预选赛录像回放 after many years training biblical archaeology scholars at prior institutions. it was inaugurated as a research institution to support the excavations of 世界杯2022预选赛录像回放 and as a center to introduce the field of biblical archaeology and the ancient near east to middle tennessee.

lca research stretches from the nile to the silk road, with 6 projects spanning across 3 continents in 5 countries. lca consists of an academic program housed in the college of liberal arts & sciences (with an active relationship with the hazelip school of theology), multiple projects in different countries (sacscoc accredited) and several components that support the mission of the center.
